Privacy Policy

KIDC (Kyushu International Dance Competition) (hereinafter referred to as the “Organization”) establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) regarding the handling of users' personal information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

Article 1 (Personal Information)
"Personal information" refers to "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, which is information about a living individual that can be used to identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other description contained in the information, as well as information that can be used to identify a specific individual by itself (personal identification information), such as appearance, fingerprints, voice print data, and insurer number on health insurance cards.
Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)
Organization may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, e-mail address, bank account number, credit card number, driver's license number, etc. when a user registers for use. In addition, information related to transaction records and settlements, including personal information of users, made between users and partners, etc. (including information providers, advertisers, ad distributors, etc.; hereinafter referred to as "Business Partners") may be obtained from Organization’s Partners.
Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The purposes for which we collect and use personal information are as follows:
・To provide and operate our services
・To respond to inquiries from users (including identity verification)
・To send e-mails with information on new functions, updates, campaigns, etc. of the services used by users and other services provided by us
・For contacting users as necessary, such as maintenance and important notices
・To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or who intend to use the Service for illegal or unjust purposes, and to refuse use
・To allow users to view, change, delete, and view their registration information
・To charge users a usage fee for paid services
・Purpose incidental to the above purpose of use
Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)
The Company shall change the purpose of use of personal information only if it is deemed reasonable that the purpose of use is relevant to the previous change.
In the event of a change in the purpose of use, the user shall be notified or announced on this website in the method prescribed by us about the purpose after the change.
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
We will not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent in advance, except in the following cases. However, this excludes cases permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and regulations.
・When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
・When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
・When it is necessary to cooperate with a national institution or local public body or a person entrusted by the government to carry out the affairs stipulated by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the person concerned may interfere with the execution of the affairs concerned
・ When the Organization announces the following matters in advance and the Organization has notified the Personal Information Protection Commission
・The purpose of use includes providing it to a third party
・Items of data provided to a third party
・Means or methods of providing to a third party
・To stop providing personal information to third parties upon request of the person
・How to accept the request of the person
Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding item, in the following cases, the destination of such information shall not fall under a third party.
・When the Organization entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
・When personal information is provided in connection with the succession of a business due to a merger or other reasons.
・In cases where personal information is to be used jointly with a specific person, and the person has been notified in advance or the person has been given easy access to this information, the items of personal information to be used jointly, the scope of the persons to be used jointly, the purpose of use of the persons to be used jointly, and the name or title of the person responsible for the management of the personal information
Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
In accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, when the Company is requested to disclose personal information by the person in question, it shall disclose the information held for the period specified by law without delay, after necessary investigation in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Organization. However, in falling under any of the following items, the Company may keep all or part of the retained personal data undisclosed:
・When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third-party
・When there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper execution of our business.
・When it would violate other laws and regulations

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding item, in principle, we will not disclose information other than personal information such as history and characteristic information.
Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
If the personal information held by the Organization is incorrect, the user may request the Organization to correct, add, or delete the personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Correction, etc.") in accordance with the procedures specified by the Organization.
In the event that the Organization receives a request from a user as described in the preceding item and deems it necessary to respond to such request, the Organization shall correct, etc. the relevant personal information without delay.
When the Organization has made corrections, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding item, or has made a decision not to make corrections, etc., the Organization will notify the user of this without delay.
Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)
If Organization is requested by an user to stop using or delete personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Cessation of use, etc.") on the grounds that the personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or that the information was obtained by wrongful means, we will conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
Based on the results of the investigation set forth in the preceding paragraph, if it is determined that it is necessary to respond to the request, the Organization will suspend the use of said personal information without delay.
The Organization will notify the user without delay when the Organization conducts Cessation of use, etc. in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when it decides not to suspend the use, etc.
Notwithstanding the previous two items, if it requires a large amount of expense for Cessation of use, etc., or if it is difficult to conduct Cessation of use, etc., and measures can be taken in place of this necessary to protect the rights and interests of users, this alternative shall be implemented.
Article 9 (Changes to Privacy Policy)
The contents of this Privacy Policy may be changed without notifying the user, except for laws and regulations and other matters stipulated in this policy.
Except as otherwise provided by the Organization, the changed Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
